In 2003, Rupprecht & Patashnick Co., Inc. (R&P), a high-tech manufacturer of air quality detection devices, was evolving at a rapid pace and outgrowing all three of its facilities in the Albany, NY area. It was clear that the company needed to consolidate into one central facility to support its existing and future manufacturing and research & development efforts – a space large enough to accommodate expansion, yet still geographically close to its talent and workforce. Solution: A solution arrived, close to home. Understanding that R&P anticipated growth in the coming years, the Rensselaer County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) proposed a plan and secured funds to construct a new facility in the East Greenbush Technology Park. Located just east of Albany, nestled in a growing sector of New York's Capital Region, the technology park offers a state-of-the-art operating environment that could accommodate the company's 100+ employees – with additional room to grow in the coming years. Results: R&P currently occupies two-thirds of the 75,000 square-foot capacity of the new building, with an option to expand. The new building, constructed to meet their specific business needs, contains a large seminar room for conducting customer training, enlarged service and quality assurance areas, and a manufacturing facility designed to accommodate future growth. The perfect new home for this innovation-driven company. |
