The gold isn't out west. It's here in Rensselaer County. It's called quality of life. I moved east more than 30 years ago.
Now many are following. It's no surprise. My friends in California are stuck in hour-plus commutes; mine is a 10 minute
signal-free non-stop ride. And I'm just 10 minutes to the train, 15 to the airport, and a few hours round trip to 3 of the
best cities in the world. Not that I need to travel. I work at the Tech Park – 1,000,000 square feet of high-tech
office space – but a 2-minute walk from my office door and I feel like I'm in the middle of the Adirondacks.
