This is the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. In 1865, the first steel plant in the United States was built right
here in Troy. My family has worked in this trade for generations, and now we're bringing steel back to Rensselaer County.
Rensselaer County offers great natural resources, a prime location, and a community of hardworking, honest people. And
it also offers tradition, history and a spirit of enterprise. I'm inspired by the foundries of the past, and I'm excited
about our future here in Rensselaer County.
